Year of Open Science 2023

Federal mandates and public access: Implications for the future (virtual webinar)

We will share the latest updates on the August 2022 White House Office of Science and Technology Policy memorandum “Ensuring Free, Immediate, and Equitable Access to Federally Funded Research.” No policies have changed yet, but funding bodies have been releasing guidance and drafts of plans that will be in place by the end of 2025.

Join us on Oct. 26 from 10-11 a.m. via Zoom to learn more about federal mandates around public access to articles and data, how agencies are responding, what this means for researchers here at the University of Minnesota, and how the University Libraries can support researchers who are required to make their research publicly accessible.

This session is part of the Libraries’ celebration of the Year of Open Science.
