Continuing creativity @ home with 3 easy makes
With the Toaster closed, we are all missing the opportunity to fulfill our creative needs by raiding the craft corner and accessing the equipment in the Breakerspace. Have no fear! The Toaster Ambassadors are here to keep you creative in the comfort of your own home. 

Below you will find three easy at home makes: 

• Toilet paper roll wreath
• DIY mini bunting
• Cereal / soda box geometric vase

Toilet Paper Roll Wreath

What you need:

• 4-6 cardboard toilet paper rolls
• Scissors
• Glue or tape
• Paperclips (if using glue)

1. Cut ¼” to ½” loops from the roll. Each roll should make around 10-12.

2. Open two of these loops and glue/tape the ends together to create the center of the wreath. If gluing, use a paperclip to hold the loops in place.

3. Begin to glue/tape the loops to the center of the wreath at an angle, going all the way around.

4. Continue to add layers until the wreath is as large as you want it to be, or until you run out of loops, whichever comes first.

Optional: When the glue has dried or once the whole wreath is taped together, color the loops with paint or markers, or add greenery/flowers to one side.

DIY Mini Bunting

What you will need:

• Paper
• Pen/markers/other materials to decorate
• Glue or tape
• String

1. Fold paper in half. Cut up triangles by the fold to the size of your liking. 

2. Decorate the cut out triangles with pens, markers, etc. Stickers and glitter will also work well with this project!

3. Place the string between the folded edge of the triangle. Secure tape or glue under the crease. Repeat with all the cut out triangles.

Tape both ends of the string and hang it wherever you’d like.

Geometric vases from cereal/soda boxes

What you will need:

• Cereal or soda box
• Scissors
• Pen/markers/other materials to decorate
• Glue or tape

1. Use a ruler to draw and cut out an equilateral triangle.

2. Trace and cut out this pattern.

Use a ruler and scissors to score the lines (don’t cut through, just gently trace the lines with a ruler and scissors to help the cardboard bend).

Tape or hot glue the box together! Cover in decorative paper for extra flair.
