Library Workshops

As the Knitting and Crochet Club at the University of Minnesota, our goal is to empower you to learn how to craft and to provide community with other crafters. We have meetings every week, on Thursdays from 5-6 p.m., in addition to special events. If you've ever wanted to learn about audio recording or podcasts, this is the workshop for you! Come learn about the different types of audio equipment you can use to record (including ones for free checkout at the U of M Libraries!) as well as methods for planning, preparing for, and editing your recordings. Staff will be on hand to answer questions, do small demos, and provide you with resources to use as you embark on your audio adventure. Podcasting 101 will be a hybrid workshop.

In this session, participants are encouraged to bring their media creation ideas. The media specialist will provide guidance on potential appropriate equipment and software considerations that fit the project needs. Demonstration and open discussion will be included. Session time will be 30 minutes.
