Queeriodicals: Mapping the Tretter Collection’s Twin Cities LGBTQ Periodical Collection
September 13 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
The Tretter Collection in GLBT Studies invites you to attend a special presentation by Eric Hankin-Redmon, the Summer 2019 Heritage Studies and Public History fellow.
As the Tretter Collection’s summer 2019 fellow, Hankin-Redmon developed a hybrid digital humanities/archival description project using the Tretter’s periodicals collection and a suite of digital mapping tools. The outcome of this project was an interactive, narrative map of Twin Cities-based LGBTQ publications. In this presentation, Hankin-Redmon will demo his map and reflect on the value of digital humanities approaches to queer public history and archival work.
