ONLINE: The Ethics of Open Access and the Scholarly Publishing System
March 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Researchers face a lot of different pressures when making choices about where and how to publish their work—including whether and how to provide open access. In this session, presenters will provide an overview of current elements of the scholarly publishing system, and explore how those elements constrain and/or enable different author choices. We’ll also highlight the many ways authors can make their work open access without paying a fee. This workshop is in coordination with campus-wide Research Ethics Week events across campus.
Speakers: Allison Langham-Putrow, Emma Molls, Amy Riegelman, Nancy Sims
Registrants will be sent a Zoom link prior to this workshop.
