ONLINE: Posting & Discovering Preprints (Bonus: A Demo of depositing in OSF’s preprint repositories)
January 27 @ 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm
Are you curious about preprints? Maybe you would like to make an open access version of your work available but are not sure about your preferred journals’ policies regarding preprints? Would you like to rapidly release your findings as opposed to waiting for the peer review process and copy-editing delays? Come to this virtual workshop to learn about the pros and cons of posting preprints in repositories such as Open Science Framework (OSF), arXiv, medRxiv, and bioRxiv. Learn about why depositing in a preprint server is typically a better option compared to for-profit social networking sites (e.g., ResearchGate). Learn about how preprints fit into the landscape of reproducibility, replicability, and research rigor. Additionally, a demo will walk-thru how to deposit a preprint into OSF Preprints as well as how to search and discover preprints posted by other scholars.
Registrants will be emailed a Zoom link prior to the workshop.
