Curious about measuring the impact of your scholarly work? This session will discuss a number of metrics that are frequently used to measure the performance of scholarly publications.

  • Learn how the h-index, the Journal Impact Factor, and other metrics are derived from data in Google Scholar, Web of Science, & Scopus.
  • Learn how to track your impact using popular tools like Mendeley Stats, ImpactStory, and SSRN, and different ways you may consider maximizing research exposure.

Join us for a discussion of the strengths, weaknesses, and quirks of these measures and tools. Workshop held in Walter Library 310.
