What is mysterious, thrilling and smells of pumpkin-spice? The UMN Libraries! Well…it might be more of an “old book” scent…but we have all sorts of Halloween and fun events in October.

Find a spooky read – horror, sci-fi, mystery, oh my!

Our Halloween fun-reading pop-up library will be popping up where you least expect it to…just like a jump scare in a scary movie. Take a study break in October and curl up with a thrilling read. Need a suggestion? Try the UMN Libraries book matchmakers.

Celebrate Fall with us at an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Visit Magrath Library for snacks, beverages, and fall arts and crafts. From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., meet Magrath Library staff and trick or treat around the library to explore the new study spaces and furniture. Learn more.

Halloween Pop-up at the Wangsteen

Stop by the Wangensteen Historical Library of Biology and Medicine (east bank) on Thursday, October 27 anytime from 11:30am-1:30pm and celebrate Halloween. Explore some of our most terrifying materials during this pop up exhibit and even make your own plague mask (and learn about what one is)! Learn more.

 

Fall Study Party at Walter Library
The UMN Libraries Student Advisory Board invites you to our Fall Study Party on Thursday, October 27 from 3:30-5:30 in the Walter Library SMART Learning Commons (second floor). Grab a hot beverage, snack or candy (while supplies last). Enjoy the autumn vibe and get some work done or take a fun, fall study break. Costumes optional!
