Posters and programs demonstrate the growth of Pride celebrations in the Twin Cities over the years.

When this poster was created for the 1974 Pride weekend, some details — a women’s dance, a possible church service, and a softball game — were not yet decided.
This 1977 program offers a detailed calendar of events, including a showing of “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

By 1992, there were 20 years of Pride events to commemorate.
The 2001 program includes then-Minneapolis Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton’s official proclamation of Pride month and Pride Festival days.
By 2005, the Pride guide was more than 80 pages long; its theme was “Liberation in Progress.”
