We can help as you prepare for finals

Positive Post-itsWe offer “distraction-free” studying for finals that includes extended hours in our buildings and study activities. Use our spaces, our computers, our coffee shops, Chat 24/7 with a librarian and take a break with our awesome activities. Did you see these study tips from fellow Gophers

As you study in the Libraries, look out for Positivity Post-Its or leave one for your fellow students. We will have supplies for you to leave a message or make one for a friend! Study strong! 

Walter Library & East Bank libraries
(Architecture and Math libraries)

Extended Study Space
Walter Library 24/7 hours begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27 and end at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 with U Card. 

Stress Busters Study Break Activities: May 1-2

  • Crafts, legos, and more in BreakerSpace on Tuesday, May 1 and Wednesday, May 2.
  • Coffee, snacks, and inspirational activities at Walter, Math, and Architecture Libraries.
  • Exam Jam: Come study for finals at Exam Jam events, Saturday, April 28 to Saturday, May 5! Extended tutoring hours at SMART & MCAE, review sessions, and a relaxed weekend of preparation and snacks for you. See you there!

Bio-Medical Library (in Diehl Hall on East bank)

Extended Study Space
Open 24/7 begins at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27 and ends at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 with U Card. 

PAWS dogStress Busters Study Break Activities: May 1-2

  • PAWS (Pet Away Worry and Stress) on Wednesday, May 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Chair massages on Tuesday, May 1
  • Free coffee, tea, and cookies
  • Make a button and visit the MakerSpace (3rd floor) for marble run, make your own paracord bracelet, vinyl stickers, origami, and more.

Magrath and St. Paul libraries

Extended Study Space
Magrath is open until midnight or extended study area until 2 am with U Card. 

Stress Busters Study Break Activities: April 30 – May 1

  • Button making, origami bookmarks, miniature bookmaking, coloring and watercolors, toys and puzzles on Monday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 1.
  • Free Coffee/tea and fruit snacks

Extended Study Space
Open 24/7 begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5 and ends at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 with U Card.

Tilly the ChickenStress Busters Study Break Activities: April 26, May 1-2

  • PAWS (Pet Away Worry and Stress) on Thursday, April 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Free coffee in first floor, collaborative coloring, button making, design your own bookmark, and more on Tuesday, May 1 and Wednesday, May 2, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
