Love is in the air at the Libraries

Find charming activities for Valentine's Day

Join the Libraries this February as we celebrate our love of a good book, swoon over our new makerspaces, and pledge our love with heart tattoos inspired by our archives.

Take a blind date with a book

1Take a blind date with book

Add a bit of intrigue to your literary life by going a on a blind date with a book. Stop by participating libraries to select a book wrapped up just for you. What book will you get to take home? You will just have to wait to find out.

2Get a heart tattoo

Did you know our collections have inspired tattoos? Now is your chance to express your love of the Libraries with your own tattoo from an early edition of Gray’s Anatomy at the Wangensteen Historical Library.

Though this tattoo is temporary, we hope you will love us forever. Stop by participating libraries from February 12 – 16 to get your tattoo (while supplies last).

3D print a gift for you and your Valentine

4Create a gift from the heart at our Makerspaces

It’s a #ValentinesCrafternoon at the Bio-Medical Library Makerspace. Use 3D printers, cross-stitch, vinyl cutters, virtual reality, and more to create a special gift for the person you love. We’ll have projects ready to go, and welcome new ideas. Bring your friends.

Join Team Breaker in the Walter Library Breakerspace to design your own pop-up card for Valentine’s Day.
