The Wilson Library first floor was jammed with students and library staff on Dec. 3, as they celebrated the redesign of Wilson’s study and collaboration space that was completed earlier this fall.

Students had the opportunity to check out the news space, interact with Libraries staff, take part in trivia games, spine poetry, and button making — as well as enjoy snacks and beverages.

Renovation highlights include:

  • More openness and improved light
  • Open and attractive layout
  • Study booths
  • Comfortable seating with outlets for smartphone and laptop charging
  • Small group meeting spaces
  • Flexible furniture to accommodate various group sizes
  • Inviting study and gatherings areas
  • Easy access to expert help
  • Quick access to new books and the contemporary literature collection
