study3The University Libraries will offer “distraction-free” studying for finals that includes extended hours in our buildings, as well as stress-reducing activities.

Use our spaces, our computers, our coffee shops, get help when you need it, and take a break with our awesome activities.

Exam Jam on Saturday, December 10th

  • The Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence (MCAE) will be hosting Exam Jam tutoring on December 10th in Appleby Hall from 9 am to 1 pm.  
  • The SMART Learning Commons will host Exam Jam and review sessions on Saturday, December 10th in select math, chemistry, CSCI, econ, and physics courses in Bruininks Hall from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. Tutoring for these and many other subjects will also be available, along with free copies of exams from the Test Bank. 
  • The U Libraries’ Peer Research Consultants (a.k.a. Library Research tutors) are here to help with any last minute library or academic research questions. Need one more scholarly source to perfect that paper? Have questions on citing a source in APA or MLA? Need credible statistics? Worried you are citing fake news? Sit down or make an appointment Saturday, December 10 from 9am to 1pm in MCAE in Appleby Hall (Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence) and 1pm to 5pm in Walter Library SMART Learning Commons.

Remember: Escort Service 24/7 and Gopher Chauffeur

  • An escort is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please call 4-WALK (612-624-9255) if you would like an escort. The escort area covers all campuses and locations within a mile of campus.
  • The Gopher Chauffeur is a free transportation service that promotes safety in the campus community by providing University of Minnesota students with safe rides home. It operates from 10:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. The service is open to all University of Minnesota-Twin Cities students. Gopher Chauffeur drivers, navigators, and dispatchers are hired by Boynton Health Service. All employees are University of Minnesota-Twin Cities students. Call 612-388-6911 for a ride.
