By February 12, 2015September 16th, 2023No Comments

Lisa Vecoli discussed the Jean-Nickolaus Tretter Collection in Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Studies at the University of Minnesota Libraries on a recent episode of Access Minnesota, a weekly public affairs program that features noted academics, authors, politicians, and business leaders.

Vecoli, curator of the Tretter Collection, also discussed a recent grant from the Tawani Foundation for the transgender oral history project, which will be used to document the historic and contemporary experience of transgender individuals in the Upper Midwest.

This will be done through the collection of up to 400 hours of oral histories involving 200 to 300 individuals over the next three years. A major effort will be the recruitment of individuals of all ages and experiences for the oral histories.
