By September 5, 2014November 8th, 2023No Comments

With Kate DiCamillo and Lisa Von Drasek

Kate DiCamillo and Lisa Von Drasek discuss the value of reading aloud in this 25-minute video.

DiCamillo, the  National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, said that she believes reading aloud is an important communal activity for people of all ages, not just kids. She and Von Drasek, head of the University of Minnesota’s Children’s Literature Research Collections, take turns sharing excerpts from some of their favorite books, both classic and contemporary.

The video was produced by the University of Minnesota Libraries.
