Two hundred years ago, Francis Scott Key wrote the words to the Star Spangled Banner on September 14, 1814. National anthems and flags have been called the “modern totems,” patriotic symbols that reflect the respect and pride people have for their country. This exhibit highlights the service and volunteerism in the United States and here on campus. It focuses on the music itself and some interesting memorabilia from our Archives and Special Collections. A concert will be planned later this semester and posted at
